2015 One Rock

The Diocese of Calgary invites you to the One Rock 2015 Festival at the Redwood Fair Grounds this summer August 14, 15 & 16. Mark your calendars and plan your holidays around this year's Festival. Once again we celebrate a province & NWT wide event welcoming young adults and their families. All are welcomed and encouraged to attend! We require 150-200 volunteers and request you to sign up online before June 30, 2014. Check out the website at onerock.ca.

End of Life Care

Legitimating euthanasia or assisted suicide, which allows one person to kill another, would diminish respect for human life. It would also erode the basic trust that human life will be protected — a trust that is essential to the functioning of any society. Catholic Church continues to promote palliative and home care, and encourage all the faithful to work for the betterment of the elderly, the disabled, the ill, and those who are socially isolated.
