St. Francis Xavier's Relic Pilgrimage (Jan 21-22)

St. Francis Xavier’s incorrupt forearm, a sacred first class relic, is making a rare visit to Canada. It will be in Calgary for only a short time. Note: To accommodate more pilgrims on Sunday, Jan 21, pilgrimage location has been moved to St. Albert the Great Church.

  • Sunday, January 21 at St. Albert the Great's Church
    (10 Prestwick Dr SE, Calgary) 
    • 1 pm to 4:30 pm - Public Veneration
    • 5 pm - Mass with Bishop McGrattan
    • 6:30 pm - Solemn Vespers for the Reception of the Relic with Bishop McGrattan.
    • 7:30 pm - 10 pm - Public Veneration
  • Monday, January 22 at St. Michael's Church
    (800 85 St SW, Calgary)
    •  6:30 pm to 10 pm - Public Veneration 
      •  6:30 pm - Relic program: Procession of the Relic 
      •  6:35 pm - Relic Talk: Life of St. Francis Xavier and the three graces
    •  10 pm - Closing prayer: Litany of St. Francis Xavier
