Coldest Night of the Year
The Diocese is honoured to be the host partner for Coldest Night of the Year for the fourth year in a row. Once again Feed the Hungry will be partnering with KAIROS Calgary and the Mustard Seed. We'll be raising funds for Feed the Hungry, the Mustard Seed and to pay down the mortgage on Bankview Apartments. All these efforts are to support our neighbors experiencing poverty and homelessness in Calgary. We'd love to have you walk with us on February 25, 2017. It’s not too late to start a team or join one already in existence. We still need volunteer Route Marshalls to make sure our Walkers have a safe & fantastic experience. For more information visit www.cnoy.org/calgary.

The Art of Christians, Muslims and Jews: Conflict or Coexistence?
Since the beginning of modern art history, “western” art historians have looked to the study of history to help us understand art… to interpret it, in its own time. But an art historian is equally interested in studying art to help us understand history. Art brings with it a reflection of its time in a way that often sidesteps the “official history”. History may be written by the victors, but art is made by everyone. And so art has the power to help us see into history from myriad points of view. Professor Schmidt and Tony Luppino will help us explore this period from different perspectives to see what we can learn. Thursday, March 9, 2017 7:00 pm at Calgary JCC, 1607 – 90 Avenue SW. Refreshments and Discussion to follow. Fee: $10, please RSVP: Rochelle 403-246-0382, email@example.com Members, Students: Free
