Health Care Apostolate

he Health Care Apostolate of the Diocese is the office by which the Bishop oversees all Health Care activities provided within the R.C. Diocese by Catholic Health Care Institutions who, in the name of the Church, carry out their ministry of health and healing.

We provide initial and on-going education in the areas of:

• Pastoral Care
• Palliative Care
• Bereavement Ministry

The department continually seeks out opportunities to collaborate with Alberta Health Services and various Catholic, Christian and Interfaith Health Care Institutions and Associations such as the:

• Alberta Pastoral Care Association
• Bethany Care Society
• Catholic Health Association of Alberta
• Catholic Health Association of Canada
