Catholic Diocese of Calgary

Ecumenism & Interreligious Affairs

The Office of Ecumenical and Interreligious Affairs exists to promote the goals of the Catholic Church in its pursuit of visible and spiritual Christian unity in southern Alberta through dialogue, prayer, social justice, formation of the clergy and laity, and the permanent renewal of the Catholic Church in its vocation as followers of Jesus Christ.

The Office also exists to represent the Catholic Diocese to non-Christian religions. To non-Christian religions, it seeks to relay the teachings of Jesus Christ and his Church before the world in love---believing that all human beings share in a "common origin". With non-Christians our purpose is to create dialogue, social justice and societal peace in Southern Alberta and around the world.
